ARAMARK Energy Manager in Ridgewood, New Jersey

Job Description

This position reports to the Senior Energy Manager. The Energy Manager shall be responsible for supporting various energy efficiency services for a K-12 school district in northern New Jersey. The Energy Manager facilitates the identification, development and implementation of energy management projects and protocols. These critical initiatives help the programs achieve the overall energy reduction goals and objectives. The Energy Manager develops and maintains effective customer rapport, provides guidance and training to help others (internally to ARAMARK and externally to the client) efficiently operate the district?s energy consuming systems

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with identifying and evaluating energy efficiency measures, calculate the savings potential and cost of measures, and prepare assessment reports.

  • Work with the facilities operations team to implement energy projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand.

  • Optimize the operation of energy consuming equipment to improve energy efficiency.

  • Assist the client in negotiating third party electricity and natural gas supply agreements.

  • Develop detailed technical reports and participate in client presentations of findings.

  • Participate in meetings and demonstrate appropriate level of technical capabilities.

  • Troubleshoot system operational issues that impact system operation and energy efficiency.

  • Assist the client in meeting the requirements mandated State and Federal energy efficiency programs.

  • Assist the client in researching applicable utility rebate and incentive programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field. New grad friendly!

  • Working knowledge of building systems, i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC/R (including Building Management Systems, BMS).

  • Previous experience conducting/assisting with ASHRAE Level energy audits a plus.

  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) a plus.

  • Strong problem solving, communication and collaborative team building skills.

  • Must have excellent verbal and writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, Power Point.
