Caseload: Small caseload (5-6 students with IEPs, some students on 504 plans, additional students seen for mental health support)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
Dates: ASAP through May 30, 2024

Salary: $55,000 - $68,000
Hourly: $44.64 - $55.19
AnthroMed has an exciting opportunity! This role is for a Full-Time Social Worker at a small but dynamic elementary school in Robbins, IL. Serving a small caseload of 5-6 students in grades K-3, this role is integral to supporting students' emotional and mental health, promoting trauma-informed practices, and collaborating with district staff.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting a diverse student body, which is 65% Latino and 35% African American. This social worker will have a manageable caseload, focusing on students with IEPs, as well as a few students on 504 plans and others in need of mental health support. The social worker will also play a key role in implementing trauma-informed group practices, providing whole-group lessons, and pushing into classrooms to offer direct support.
The social worker will join a cohesive team of social workers within the district, and be expected to work collaboratively with staff, be actively engaged in the school community, and contribute to a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Support: Provide services to students with IEPs (5-6 students) and others on 504 plans or in need of mental health support.
Group Trauma-Informed Practices: Lead and facilitate group lessons on trauma-informed practices to support all students.
Push-in Support: Work with teachers to provide in-class support and consultation for students, including social-emotional learning and whole-class lessons.
Collaboration: Work closely with district staff, contributing to school-wide initiatives and collaborating on student progress.
Presence in School Community: Engage with students outside of the classroom, including greeting students in the morning, saying farewell at the end of the day, and participating in school activities.
Caseload Management: Manage caseload effectively using the Easy IEP system for students with IEPs.
Cultural Competency: Serve a diverse student population with sensitivity and understanding, using Spanish-speaking skills as needed.
Additional Information:
Office Space: Office located in the media center, with limited space available. Social worker will be expected to push into classrooms for much of the day.
Team Environment: Collaborate closely with other social workers within the district, sharing resources, strategies, and support.
Ideal Candidate: Bilingual in Spanish preferred, with a strong passion for working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
School Environment: Small school with a focus on student engagement and community building.
Interview Process: In-person interviews are preferred, but we are open to virtual interviews followed by an on-site visit.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
Must be licensed as a Social Worker in Illinois.
Spanish-speaking ability is highly desirable.
