Airvac, Inc. Quality Control Technician I in Rochester, Indiana
Basic FunctionAirvac is the global leader in the Vacuum Technology System industry.
The primary function of our Quality Control Technician Iis to examine materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications. They determine whether toaccept or reject items and report on inspection results. Our Quality Control Technician I travels up to 10% of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities Performs inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet qualitystandards. Pulls quality control part samples after material is received. Completes and maintains material inspection reports. Works to resolve non-conformance issues by collaborating with various departments. Evaluates data, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards. Assists fabrication department with station start-ups. Participates in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to management andauditors. Communicates quality or compliance concerns to Supervisor/Manager with urgency. Ensures measuring and testing equipment are calibrated and maintained to guarantee accurate and reliable results. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and qualityobjectives. Performs various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills High School Diploma or GED. 1+ years experience in material inspection or quality control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills with willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handlemultiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work as a team in a collaborative environment as well as individually. Certified forklift operator or ability to become certified. Software proficiency to include Windows and Microsoft Office. Sharepoint and SAP experience preferred.
