Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Basic Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Employer Paid Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Adoption Assistance Plan Qualifications: Two years of past commercial cooking experience preferred Minimum of one year experience in food service preferred Knowledge of special diet requirements, high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and neatness required Ability to read and adjust recipes as needed Job Responsibilities: Prepares hot/cold food. Follows specifications for portion control to maintain cost effectiveness. Adhere to strict sanitation and safety guidelines for all aspects of food service. Communicates and monitors ensuring adequate food needs against forecast and adjusts accordingly. Monitors hot/cold temperatures of food during preparation, handling, storage, and service. Prepares department for service, responsible for department safety in absence of supervisors. Operates cash register and maintains accurate balance. Provides overall direction to the dietary helpers in absence of supervisor. Assists with grocery inventory, verifying receipts, assuring proper storage and rotation of food products. Answers phone as needed, documenting appropriately. Ability to work rotating shifts and holidays. Other duties as assigned.
