Summary: Supervises all facility technicians and the coordination of grounds keeping and custodial staff. Manages all facility maintenance systems within the operating unit(s). Responsibilities: * Plan, coordinate and schedule daily maintenance operation to ensure that facilities are ready for daily operations * Plan, review and schedule plant rearrangement efforts * Supervise routine preventative maintenance and periodic check of power HVAC, fire protection systems etc. * Direct normal and off-hour emergencies such as snow removal, building system failures and roof leaks * Assist in budget development * Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of new plant engineering techniques by way of contracts with other industries, current publications and membership in professional societies/organizations * Work with Advanced Technologies in new equipment qualifications * Work with vendors setting up needed equipment * Responsible for work order accountability * Utilize project management skills when involved with multiple projects and show the ability to delegate tasks and drive on-time completion * Responsible for building security, such as distribution of keys, enforcement of security procedures, arming and disarming training and card access system * Schedule custodial services * Hazardous waste management handling and contingency plan duties * All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.
