Description If you're an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional looking to join a growing company, consider joining this dynamic team. You will succeed in this position if you can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role, based in the Rochester, New York region, is a permanent position.

Your responsibilities

• Verify documents and codes

• Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed

• Follow standard procedures to perform basic accounting tasks, such as general accounting

• Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

• Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers

• Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

• Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of billing

• Proficiency in cash applications

• Knowledge of cash applications

• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

• ERP system experience
