As an Anesthesia Tech, your excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control helps you to manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, while assisting with daily functions of the Anesthesia Department.
This role requires extensive walking throughout the hospital.
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Surgical Services
SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings/Nights, plus on-call
ATTRIBUTES
- H.S. diploma preferred
- Previous anesthesia experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient focused
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Equipment Management. Maintain all anesthesia equipment; manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action; perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
- Procedure Assistance. Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use; calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use; assist with procedures as assigned; stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications (may handle meds, sharps and syringes); maintain a clean, safe and adequately supplied workroom
- Maintains Ideal Working Operations. Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory, ensure there are adequate levels of available supplies and complete monthly pharmacy inspections.
PAY RANGE: $17.50 - $19.40
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
