Evaluates and interprets data obtained from the patient and/or medical record, including anthropometric and laboratory information, medications, physician orders and from nutrition and medical histories. Analyzes subjective and objective information to define nutrition problems, goals and interventions to complete a comprehensive nutrition assessment. Evaluates the appropriateness of nutrition support, and the effectiveness of nutrition care plans, making necessary recommendations in a timely manner.Communication. Educates both the patient and family as needed, provides nutrition counseling on an individual basis or in a group setting. Facilitates the development of realistic nutritional and lifestyle goals. Communicates with health care team, including physicians and other providers regarding patient plan of nutritional care. Make recommendations, requiring nutritional expertise, to all members of the medical teamAssessment. Conducts and participates in quality assurance programs ensuring that standards and quality initiatives are met.EDUCATION: BS (Required)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)PAY RANGE: $26.00 - $33.66 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
