Position Overview: Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Responsibilities:

Care and Support:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.

  • Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence.

  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of each individual.

    Communication and Documentation:

  • Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.

  • Document client progress, health records, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Report any changes in client behavior or health to the appropriate supervisors.

    Community Engagement:

  • Plan and engage individuals in community-based activities, outings, and social events.

  • Encourage participation in vocational and recreational opportunities to enhance social skills and community integration.

    Training and Development:

  • Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on best practices in the field of developmental disabilities.

  • Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is a plus.

  • Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
