University of Rochester ENT Ambulatory Pediatric Otolaryngology Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

New opportunity to work in a specialty setting that integrates education and clinical care. Will work with pediatric otolaryngologists in the outpatient setting. Will see new and follow-up patients, as well as urgent visits. Will direct bill for services. Requirement: 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care environment. Current certification through NYS as a NP/PA. Ability to meet productivity targets. Excellent teamwork and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Physician Assistant

Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
