$62,000 to $68,000 Annually and a Free Family YMCA Membership

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance (VP), the Financial Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management and process improvement. This position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester are conveyed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·Budgeting and Forecasting:

o Collaborate with various departments to develop accurate budgets and forecasts.

o Analyze financial data to identify trends and make projections for future performance.

·Financial Reporting:

o Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review.

o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

· Cash Flow Management:

o Monitor and analyze cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity for the organization.

o Develop strategies to mitigate cash flow risks and improve efficiency.

·Financial Policy and Process Improvement:

o Evaluate existing financial policies and processes to identify areas for improvement.

o Implement enhancements to streamline financial operations and increase effectiveness.

· Balance Sheet and Investment Account Reconciliations:

o Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet and investment accounts to ensure accuracy. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

o Monitor investment performance and provide analysis as needed.

· Fixed Asset Management:

o Oversee records of fixed assets including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal process and conduct periodic physical audits of fixed assets.

·Financial Systems Administration:

o Administer financial systems and software (SGA) to ensure proper functionality and data integrity.

o Provide training and support to users as needed.

· Develop and maintain financial dashboards.

· Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with ccompany policies and procedures. Implement corrective action in areas of weaknesses.

· Attend all required meetings and training.

· All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

· At least three years accounting and financial reporting experience.

· Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft office.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

· Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to sit or stand for extended duration of shift

· Must be able to bend and stoop frequently

· Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds

Salary Description

$62,000 to $68,000 Annually
