Payroll & Human Resources Assistant PT

SUMMARY: The Payroll and Human Resources Assistant functions as a member of the Human Resources department of Education Success Network, assisting with processing timely and accurate payroll processing, as well as other HR duties as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees. Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies. Ensure the accuracy of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rate. Maintain payroll files and records in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of payroll reports. Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve issues in a timely manner. Support the Human Resources Manager with audits and other payroll and/or HR-related tasks.

HOURS: Part-time position approximately 20 hours per week. Flexible working hours, with some availability required during payroll processing periods.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of processing payroll. Meticulous attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to prioritize tasks and plan work activity accordingly. Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience.
Strong knowledge of UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management, a plus.
