As a machine operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Duties include inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, monitor scrap levels, speed, and notify supervisor when levels are excessive. Perform housekeeping responsibilities necessary to maintain a clean environment for production throughout the shift.

salary: $17 - $17.6 per hour

Responsibilities

• Maintain work area per food safety requirements

• Perform housekeeping responsibilities necessary to maintain a clean environment for production throughout the shift

• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Adhere to all company and department work and safety rules, along with EHS policies/procedures

• Comply with all company policies, and all quality, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures as well as any regulatory or statutory requirements related to the position

• Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential

• Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required on the production floor at all times

• This role operates in a professional environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

• Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 35lbs

• standing for 10 hours at one time

• Finishing (1 year of experience is preferred)
