We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy team at Dermatology Partners of WNY. We are a privately owned, fast paced and dynamic dermatology practice and we are looking for someone who enjoys and thrives working in a fast-paced environment with our 4 experienced providers. We see pediatric and adult patients. We have two locations, one in Rochester and the second in Canandaigua, the ideal candidate would be able to travel between them as scheduled. We are committed to a culture and practice where patients want to come, physicians want to practice and employees want to work.”Skills/Experience:-Excellent verbal & written communication- Excellent assessment abilities-Attention to detail- Time management-Empathy/understanding/compassion- Self discipline & confidence-Teamwork- ResourcefulnessDuties & Responsibilities:-Assisting providers with routine exams & medical office procedures-Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports-Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for reactions or side effects-Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests-Contribute to inventory lists to keep office at optimal levels-Monitoring, reporting and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions-Explaining test results to patients and their families-Provide patient education on skincare, skin cancer prevention and preventing surgical infections-Suture removals-Basic computer skills-Collecting skin tissue for biopsies-Cleaning and dressing wounds or burns-Applying treatments to patients while educating them on process-Providing pre-operative & post-operative careThe hours for this position range from 7:45 am - 5 pm. Flexibility with start and end times is necessary to meet our patient’s needs. The goal of a RN at our dermatology practice is to provide top quality care to each patient and to work with our providers seamlessly throughout each patient’s appointment. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with patients of all ages! Requirements: The ideal candidate would be a graduate of an accredited registered nurse program (Bachelors preferred). The candidate must be licensed and registered by the New York State Education Department and be in good standing with their licensure. Dermatology experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency with electronic medical records is preferred. Salary is competitive compensation based on licensure and experience.
