Adaptec Solutions is a top-ten, North American integration partner engineering diverse material handling and automation solutions with lifecycle service support for manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing companies.

JOB SUMMARY:

The focus of this position to sell Adaptec Solutions products, services, and solutions to both new and existing customers.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospecting and cold calling designated accounts.

  • Managing existing customer relationships to develop new opportunities.

  • Quote products, integrated systems, and installations. Focus on material handling and engineered product sales.

  • Manage all aspects of quoting process (estimating, design, presentation, acceptance, implementation).

  • Working knowledge of material handling products and systems.

  • Work with engineering team to develop systems and solutions.

  • Work with installation team/operations manager to coordinate installation.

  • Regular travel to visit with customers and prospects is expected. Limited to a geographic region. Overnight travel is possible, but rare. Travel for manufacturer training and Adaptec Sales Meetings may be required, 1-2 times per year.

  • Working both from the office and remote is expected.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background, preferred.

  • Project Management Experience, preferred.

    SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB:

  • Experience in mechanical or technical sales.

  • Strong understanding of the application of material handling and engineered products.

  • CAD background is helpful.

  • Outside sales experience with direct end users.

  • Solution-based approach.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

    M EASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS:

  • Sales Dollars and GP

  • Annual sales goal & GP Dollars will be established by Director of Material Handling Sales.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $55,000 - $90,000. The salary range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Adaptec Solutions considers factors including, but not limited to experience and geographic location.
