Job Description:

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Order Management Specialist. This position will be based in Rochester. This role will be responsible for directing and managing the processing of quotes and sales orders including: Review Request for Proposal/Request of Quotation (RFP/RFQ's) to determine ultimate end-user compliance with export regulations and pricing policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with Central Sales and Program Management to determine delivery and contract requirements while submitting and tracking trade compliance requests to ensure compliance to all internal and external policies.

  • Interpret government contracts and purchase orders for compliance and requirements and is responsible for accurate translation to sales order. Review Terms and Conditions (Ts&Cs) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses to determine legal compliance in the areas of quality, payment terms, price, delivery and packaging for contracts.

  • Understand, communicate, and mitigate risk of delayed shipments due to incomplete order processing requirements to both external and internal customers

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Order Management experience. Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Order Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Order Management experience

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Customer service skills and experience

  • Experience with Word, Excel, Oracle, SAP and Adobe Acrobat Pro

  • Strong written, oral, and organizational skills

  • Project Management

  • Ability to work with a large variety of internal departments

  • Able to display strong leadership qualities

  • Strong communication skills among various groups

  • Ability to manage your time effectively

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $50,000 - $93,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
