Description

  • This position will work onsite within a team environment. You will be responsible for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software for a government agency.

  • This position is great for candidates whom have 1+ year(s) Desktop, PC, or Help Desk experience.

Duties

  • Providing support to clients in resolving moderate to complex system or IT operation problems.

  • Performing computer operations functions, including planning, integration, and verification for IT systems.

  • Recommend Desktop solutions and provide support, solutions, and suggestions to a development team.

  • Adjust resource books, manuals and maintenance service plans; working with the information security team to support NEC-RIA; provides remediation and troubleshooting for system-related change requests.

  • Install new / rebuild existing equipment and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Install and configure systems such as supports GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications.

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.

  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

  • Onsite

  • Partners with Systems and Server Administrators

  • Desktop team is comprised of 1 Task Lead, 1 Engineer & 3 Technicians

Expected Start Date

  • 06/17/2024

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday.

  • 1st shift hours.

  • Saturday & Sunday Off.

  • Federal Holidays Off.

Compliance Requirements

  • Drug Test Required; Background Check Required.

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification-Reimbursement assistance, if passed.

  • Will interview without CompTIA Security+ certification.

  • Interim Secret Clearance, financed by agency, no out of pocket cost.
