Job Duties -

The Mechanical Engineer will be taking legacy drawings (mostly PDF and paper drawing) and converting them into NX CAD files. This will include scrutinizing designs for accuracy and best practices, analyzing tolerance stack ups, basic hand calculations to ensure legacy designs still make sense in the current use case.

Job Requirements -

• 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience using NX CAD

• Tolerance stack ups and GD&T

Desired Skills & Experience -

• Space or aerospace experience

• Teamcenter experience

• Exposure to NASA standards 5020, 5019, 5017, 5016

• Experience with CREO

• Experience with ANSYS

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Finite Element Method (FEM)and stress analysis

• Non-Linear Structural Analysis Experience

• Fracture Mechanics / NASGRO

• Exposure to thermal analysis
