Aerotek Saw Operator in Rockford, Illinois

Join our team as a Manufacturing Operator, where you will begin your journey in the Shipping department for 2-3 days to fully grasp our day-to-day operations. After this initial training, you will transition to your designated role, which could include Saw Operating, General Labor, Shipping, or Forklift Operating. Your daily responsibilities will include identifying, measuring, and cutting material, cleaning material after cuts, collaborating effectively within a team, and utilizing measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. You will also engage in tasks requiring simple math skills and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently. Comprehensive training and certification on forklift operation will be provided.

You will work in a clean, well-lit environment and become an integral part of the team from day one. We foster a family-first atmosphere with an open-door policy with the Plant Manager. The role requires standing for 8 hours per day and involves significant lifting, including repetitive lifting especially during our peak hours from 2-5:30 pm when shipments are dispatched. Shifts for this first shift position start at 6:00 am, 7:00 am, and 9:30 am.
