Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Cost Accountant in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves supporting financial reporting for Plant 1 operations in a hybrid workplace setting. The Senior Cost Accountant will play an essential role in managing large volumes of data, analyzing operational results, and communicating with various functional areas.

Responsibilities:

• Extract and manage substantial amounts of data from centralized systems utilizing Microsoft Excel.

• Analyze operational results obtained from different data sources and identify any concerns or issues.

• Convey any identified concerns or issues to management effectively.

• Collaborate with various functional areas, primarily Operations, Quality, and SIOP.

• Ensure strong written and verbal communication across all levels of management.

• Conduct financial reporting for Plant 1 operations.

• Apply skills in Documentation, Training, Compliance, Finance, Auditing, and Financial Planning.

• Execute tasks related to Financial Analysis, Capital Management, and Internal Audit.

• Prepare and present reports as required.

• Handle tasks related to Purchase Orders and Supplier Agreements.

• Perform ad hoc financial tasks and closing processes.

• Maintain and manage financial notes and metric reporting. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Documentation procedures

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proven experience in Training and Operations

• Strong understanding of Compliance and Quality standards

• Solid background in Finance and Auditing

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks

• Expertise in Closing Processes and Financial Reporting

• Experience with Journal Entries and Financial Notes

• Skilled in Metric Reporting

• Exceptional Communication Skills

• Familiarity with Purchase Order process

• Ability to Execute tasks efficiently

• Understanding of Capital Management

• Experience dealing with Suppliers

• Proficiency in Financial Analysis

• Knowledge of Specification techniques

• Experience in Financial Planning

• Familiarity with Internal Audit procedures

• Ability to draft and review Agreements

• Experience in preparing detailed Reports
