Summary : The Machine Operator will be expected to run production runs specialty hinge modifications. Operator will load and unload parts into fixtures as required. The machine programming will be completed by the CNC operator. This is a good position to learn CNC programming over time.

You will receive guidance and support from experienced veterans but are expected to be self-directed and complete tasks without supervision. You must also be wise enough to ask for assistance when required. Training will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Run/Operate Gantry mill/Haas mills on all hinge profiles

• Uphold high standards of quality and professionalism.

• Properly pack all daily ran products

• Packing for an order for shipment which includes palletizing, boxing, wrapping

• Boxing, marking and placing products in correct location on the shelves

• Complete daily paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

• Run sheets

• Time sheets

• Scrap Analysis and weights

• Keep up to date on training and knowledge of products

• Constantly work to improve speed of set up and break downs

• Work with Supervisor on all changing raw material needs

• Work with Supervisor to ensure customer shipping expectations are met

  Additional Duties:

• Maintain the proper upkeep on all tools and workstations

• Good 6S skills a must

• Work in other departments when needed

  Minimum Experience: (Candidate must have a basic understanding of these systems)

• Machine guarding and machine control safety

• Lock out/tag out programs

• Focus on Quality and attention to detail.

• Mechanical aptitude, prior experience or training

• Print/schematic reading skills or eager to learn

• Previous experience a plus but not required

  Required Personality:

• A strong desire to learn skills on the job

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to take direction

• Self-directed attention to details and quality requirements

• Strong common-sense approach to problems
