YOUR ROLE

The Category & Project Manager, Adhesives Logistics will be responsible for domestic road & rail transportation sourcing for Henkel Adhesive Technologies, as well as serve as the project management lead for logistics integration of current and future acquisitions into our existing categories. This position is responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and cross-functional excellence consistent with company goals, procedures, and policies. This position’s focus areas are on developing an end-to-end view of logistics procurement and obtaining maximum value for Henkel by developing solutions to meet Henkel’s cost, quality, sustainability and service targets as aligned with global and regional procurement, supply chain, and commercial partners and stakeholders.

Role Details :

General:

·Collaborative, cross-category & cross-functional role with frequent interaction with regional and global stakeholders in purchasing, supply chain, commercial and finance teams

·Represents the entire North American Logistics Procurement team in a professional, collaborative manner

·Partners with team lead and category team members to develop and execute strategic initiatives, digital project implementations and best-in-class sourcing events

·Identifies, plans, and executes process improvement activities—including digitalization, communication, market approaches, and analytical analysis—while leading and supporting strategic initiative projects related to cost, performance, and change management.

Category Management:

·Responsible for domestic and Mexican cross-border truckload & intermodal for the Henkel Adhesives Technologies network with a scope of 80MEUR+ spend.

Integration Project Management:

·Responsible for project management & steering of acquisition integration activities for all logistics categories (primarily transportation and contract logistics) for the Henkel Adhesives Technologies network.

YOUR SKILLS

  • We want an entrepreneurial, passionate, and solution-focused teammate whose hands-on attitude and strategic mindset enables their dynamic problem solving and stakeholder management skills.

  • 5+years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain in a CPG or industrial/chemical environment, preferably within logistics procurement or supply chain operations with a strong knowledge of multi-modal transportation & market dynamics.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred – experience goes a long way!

  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical & problem-solving skills with project management & continuous improvement experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize critical projects and deadlines for multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while actively seeking opportunities for personal growth and development.

  • Fluent in English is mandatory, both written & spoken, any other language is a plus.

  • Proficiency with systems & tools such as SAP, Ariba, PowerBi, TMS and WMS, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

The salary for this role is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
