Our operations span North America with over 28,000 employees at close to 1,600 locations in 43 US States and 2 Canadian provinces.Position OverviewThis position provides the Finance Team and Senior Management w ith a forecast of the company's profit and loss and operational performance highlighting the effectiveness of the company's strategic plans and investments. This position will manage the Midwest Region and report to the Region CFO.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data using various programs, reports, and tools.Prepare financial reports for internal use.Analyze past financial information and results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations.Collect, analyze, and report financial data.Participate in building budgets and forecasts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).Prepare monthly commentary of financial results and reports to leaders.Participate in preparation of financial data for strategic plans.Perform various ad hoc analysis for a variety of individuals.Track DOT/City/County infrastructure funding levels and key economic indicators.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree from accredited college or university and five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Experience in the construction or building materials industry preferred.Work RequirementsMust be 18 years in age or older.Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (Less than 20% of the time).Regular and consistent attendance is required.Knowledge/Skill RequirementsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (Word, Excel Outlook). Willingness and ability to learn additional computer software and computer programs. Extremely high level of expertise in Excel.Demonstrate advanced financial knowledge as well as the ability to interpret and utilize financial and mathematical data and information.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
