With operations going back to 1861, we boast a remarkably long history of success in the Minnesota aggregate and asphalt industry.Position OverviewThis position is responsible for supporting the basic administrative functions of the human resources department. Works with the Regional HR Generalist and other team members to maximize the efficiency of the department in support of the organizational goals and standards.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Maintain HRIS records and maintains related electronic databases.Assist with the hiring process, including offer letter preparation, coordination of pre-employment screenings, conducting new hire orientations and attending job fairs.Ensure the proper paperwork is completed timely and accurately for new hires and HRIS changes and unemployment reporting.Assist with administrative responsibilities include, but not limited to, data entry, scanning, filing, tracking information, etc. regarding employee forms and documentation.Assist with employee leave of absence tracking and paperwork.Assist with the drug testing process.Provide support of incoming phone calls relating to human resources.Assist with training initiatives, including preparation, events and presenting information.Provides outstanding customer service when answering employee requests and questions or by directing those to applicable resources as appropriate.Maintains a professional demeanor when dealing with critical and/or confidential information. Restricts discussion/knowledge of information to a "need to know" basis.Maintains knowledge of applicable state, local and federal laws related to human resources.Complete project work as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
