VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Technician to join our accomplished team of veterinary professionals.

Located near Santa Rosa, at VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County , you will be joining a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital that has been caring for the pets of our community for over 40 years . About Us: We are a 24-hour veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including MRI, CT, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, and Fluoroscopy. Our facility offers services in Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency and Critical Care.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Self-driven and thorough

  • Collaborative team player

  • Willing to learn and adapt

  • Ability to work a weekend day and some holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Internis with patient examinations and procedures

  • Perform technical skills: radiographs (hands-free), venipuncture, blood pressure measurements

  • Handle patients compassionately

  • Provide emergency response when needed

  • Educate clients on home care instructions and medications

  • Coordinate patient care efficiently with team members

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • Experience in a veterinary facility

  • Strong communication and client service skills

  • Proficiency in telephone and computer use

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and work long hours under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician
