BREWER SCIENCE INC Business Development Manager in Rolla, Missouri

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Business Development Manager. This position will be located remotely within the United States of America.

Summary: As a Business Development Manager, you will have an integral role as this position plays a key role in uncovering and developing new business opportunities for Brewer Sciences continuous growth in the semiconductor industry sector. The BDM is expected to be self-initiative and be able to work both independently and through a cross-function team setting. This will be a remote position, with routine travels between customer sites and Brewer Sciences headquarter (up to 25%), both domestically and internationally. The BDM will need to understand the semiconductor manufacturing process very well, on front-end fabrication, back-end packaging and heterogenous integration key requirements, possess a fair amount of chemistry and material knowledges, and have accumulated real field experience in complex, technology-based, sales process.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management to coordinate the internal Application works needed for winning the identified sales opportunities.
  • Function as the gate keeper to ensure the quality of data packages and the right messaging delivered to the customers.
  • Set the expectation of the deliverables (data, sample, demo) and hold people accountable to follow closely to the timeline.
  • Identify revenue growth through the development of new business and the retention of existing business and develop sales plans for assigned customers.
  • Uncover new sales opportunities to fill the sales funnel to meet and exceed the company objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by capturing new opportunities at new and existing accounts.
  • Develop and executes customer plans for revenue, market share and profitability growth ensuring that targets are achieved.
  • Plan and execute sales strategy, identify, and capture key accounts, to establish a competitive market position for BSI.
  • Travel extensively to meet with potential customers to build strong relationships, uncover process challenges, and provide value propositions of using Brewer Science products and technology.
  • Develop and execute customer plans for revenue, market share and profitability growth ensuring that targets are achieved.
  • Understand customers needs and their challenges to create solutions and demonstrate value.
  • Identify potential customer's needs and formulate business proposals according to the customer's requirements.
  • Regular, direct contact with customers, including but not limited to, frequent face-to-face meetings and calls at all levels and locations of customers delivering high quality service and support. Provides voice of Brewer Science to customers.
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers using marketing knowledge, expertise, sales tools and resources.
  • Research and target potential customers and develop relationships to acquire new accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date market information and competitive intelligence to identify new customer needs and justify new product initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on news media and stock information for customer. Validate industry rumours and provides insights on impact on Brewer Science.
  • Research, market map, establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Drive performance and revenue growth by leading sales and marketing strategies based on awareness of overall market and competitive conditions.
  • Gather market information by coordinating market research to gain insight on market needs and to capture the voice-of-the-customer, to ensure representation.
  • Utilize competitive analysis, market research, negotiat on, and proposal recommendations to show prospective customers BSIs value in the marketplace.
  • Manage own sales expenses to meet expense budgets and forecasts.
  • Forecasts and submits budget requirements.
  • Monitors and reports on financial performance against budget.
  • Work with the corresponding Business Unit (BU) leaders to ensure continuous business growth, profitability, and diversification.
  • Develop internal relationships with key individuals and business groups.
  • Work closely with the sales team to close deals timely.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders and senior management, delivering regular and detailed reports on sales outcomes.
  • Collaborate and work cross functionally with the organization to ensure all corporate sales goals are met.

Education and Credentials:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10-15 years progressive experience in product development, applications, customer support, business development, and account management
  • Project management certification is preferred
  • 5+ years technical sales experience is preferred
  • Experience in working remotely and with cross-function, multi-national teams
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
