  • Material Movement: Safely and efficiently move materials between storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving areas using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks, shipping containers, or delivery vehicles. Ensure that materials are handled carefully to prevent damage and that proper lifting techniques are used to avoid injuries.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting cycle counts, performing stock checks, and updating inventory systems. Report any discrepancies or shortages to supervisors or inventory control personnel.
  • Material Storage: Organize and store materials in designated storage locations according to established procedures. Ensure that materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored in a manner that maximizes space utilization and accessibility.
  • Order Picking: Retrieve materials from storage locations based on pick lists or production orders.
  • Material Handling Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely and proficiently. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures for equipment operation to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Reject or quarantine materials that do not meet quality standards and notify appropriate personnel for further action.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing material handling tasks. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to materials.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate material handling activities, exchange information, and address any issues or concerns that may arise during operations.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage areas, aisles, and loading docks. Dispose of packaging materials and debris properly to ensure a safe and clutter-free environment.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of material handling techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
