MAT Holdings, Inc Warehouse Shipping Supervisor - 2nd Shift in Romeoville, Illinois

Acts as shift supervisor and coordinates activities of workers engaged in outbound shipment of product, including verifying and keeping records on outbound shipments, assign orders for picking, checking and loading by managing department product throughput. (2024)

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce Safety policies

  • Serves as an example to subordinates and enforces company policies and procedures

  • Reviews outbound schedule, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and equipment required to meet shipping  schedules.

  • Oversees loading activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of loads

  • Responsible for leading his/her shift in the efficient processing of freight including picking, checking, staging and shipment for all customers. 

  • Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.

  • Responsible for the safety and proper use of material handling equipment used by shift personnel.

  • Issue written and oral instructions – Bilingual Spanish a plus

  • Responsible for the adherence and execution of standardized procedures

  • Responsible for the correction and accuracy of all work performed under his/her supervision

  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout the facility

  • Pass down communication between shifts leaders, verbal and email

  • Train and assist, order pickers, checkers and loaders as required

  • Open communication with account coordinators to maintain work and shipping schedules 

  • Meet reporting deadlines, hourly, daily, monthly, yearend 

  • Flexible to adjust schedule to meet operational needs

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehouse/Logistics environment

  • Minimum 5 years’ in a supervisory/ managerial capacity in a logistical/ manufacturing environment

  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to obtain forklift license though the Company

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English

  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required

  • Ability to think clearly, take initiative and work independently

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

  • SAP knowledge is a plus

  • RF proficiency is a plus

2nd shift 

Monday – Friday 2:30PM  - 11:30 PM; Monday – Thursday (when required) over time 2:30PM - 12:30PM;  Saturday (when required) 7:30AM – 4:30PM
