Job Summary

The Oxygen Lab Technician is responsible for the cleaning, assembly, and testing of Oxygen components, sub-assemblies, and major assemblies in a clean-room environment under supervision. The technician must ensure compliance with product cleanliness, lab safety and customer requirements.

Essential Functions

• Performs Oxygen Cylinder Hydrostatic Testing (PVET - Permanent Volume Expansion Test).
• Perform and interpret Oxygen cleanliness testing of components.
• Assemble, test, and inspect aviation oxygen survival systems and components.
• Operate Nitrogen and Oxygen test boards (gage reading, control of air flow/pathing, safety and emergency shut off procedures, etc.).
• Perform other testing relating to sub-components such as reducers, manifolds, relief valves, system actuation, connector assemblies, and filler valves.
• Able to document temperature and pressure readings; reports any irregular readings to management.
• Work with supervisor to diagnose components and assemblies.
• Maintain all gauges, charts, and other related equipment for testing.
• Observe and follow all company safety rules and policies.
• Operate Aqueous cleaning systems per operating instructions.
• Assemble and disassemble products for recertification.
• Follow work instructions for various component, sub-assembly, as major assembly builds.
• Properly enter time against work orders and complete required documentation.
• Able to use standard and specialized tooling and fixtures.
• Demonstrates the ability to use calibrated tools for assembly and product acceptance.
• Pass O2 Safety Certification Testing.

Qualifications/Minimum requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English proficiently.
• GED, High School degree; technical and vocational training preferred.
• Previous industry experience preferred.
• Capable of reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, critical thinking skills, and proficiency with standard testing tools preferred.
• Prior experience with an aerospace defense manufacturer preferred.

Salary Range: $17 to $23 per hour. This estimated range represents a good faith projection of what we believe is a competitive compensation range for this position. Please understand that the offered salary will be determined based on factors such as the applicant's credentials, experiences, and the specific requirements of the role, as well as potential internal equity and external market considerations.
