Part-Time Family Coach

EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting over 62,888 individuals through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a compassionate and skilled Family Coach to join our Suffolk Enhanced Supervised Visitation program.

Your Impact:

As a Family Coach, you'll be at the heart of transforming lives by supervising parent-child visits, enhancing parenting skills, and supporting families as they transition from supervised to unsupervised visitation. You’ll also connect families with essential local resources to meet their basic needs and those of their children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Visits:Oversee in-home, community, and office-based visits, providing coaching and parent training.

  • Stay Current:Participate in ongoing training and implement the latest strategies and techniques from DSS.

  • Report Progress:Document and report on family progress to the Department of Social Services.

  • Collaborate:Work closely with caseworkers and parents to set and achieve goals.

  • Conduct Intakes:Assess and onboard new families into the program.

  • Resource Connection:Help families access external resources as needed.

  • Transportation:Safely transport families to and from visits, including securing children in appropriate car seats.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; MSW or Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Experience:At least one year of experience working with families.

  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with social service professionals.

  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

  • Transportation:Valid New York State Driver's License and access to a vehicle for transporting families.
