Description We are offering an opportunity for a proficient Payroll Clerk in the construction industry. The role is based in RONKONKOMA, New York, and will be an in-office position. The primary function of the job is to manage payroll processing using QuickBooks, with an emphasis on understanding prevailing wages and union payroll in a construction setting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll processing using QuickBooks effectively and efficiently

• Understand and apply knowledge on prevailing wages and union payroll

• Maintain accurate records of payroll processing and payroll taxes

• Provide knowledge in all-around construction type of accounting

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes

• Handle accounting functions and manage accounts payable

• Oversee benefit functions and ensure accurate check processing

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on QuickBooks Enterprise and other relevant software

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Skilled in managing Accounting Functions.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions is desirable.

• Experience in Check Processing is necessary.

• Ability to use QuickBooks software efficiently.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Enterprise is an added advantage.
