This is a dynamic role that requires expertise in IT services as well as critical and analytical thinking skills. The Business Performance Management Advisor is responsible to develop, analyze and execute processes that measure the performance of IT’s Managed Services Partners (MSPs). The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of performance management methodologies and the ability to communicate complex information to senior management and stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure performance metrics are aligned with business goals and objectives, building, and maintaining relationships with external vendors and consultants.

The Business Performance Management Advisor supports the IT Supplier Provider Management Office (SPMO) that manages IT services to the SCE enterprise across eight domains (Application Development & Maintenance, Data Center, Digital Platform Support, End User Computing, End User Support Services, Information Security Services, Infrastructure & Network Management) using ITIL4 service management framework. This role must also review and improve processes to ensure continuous improvement. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Performance Management – Develop and conduct analysis of performance metrics, including service level outcomes, financial performance, operational, and customer metrics. Manage 150+ IT transactional and business service level metrics with MSP performance outcomes to ensure services delivered align to contractual expectations. Develop and maintain performance management dashboards and reports. Continuous alignment with IT and business to adjust metrics as needed to continuously drive higher performance into IT Operations.

  • Service Management and Integration – This role enables service management processes leveraging ITIL4 between IT Service Managers, MSPs and the SPMO office. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure best practices are incorporated into operational and performance management processes.

  • Financial Management – Monthly management of annual $70M+ O&M budget in collaboration with IT Finance in a manner consistent with corporate reporting requirements. This role is responsible for setting up budgets, forecasting expenses, recording actuals, participating in scenario planning, and making monthly financial and MSP performance presentations to senior IT leadership.

  • Contract Management – Facilitates ongoing management of MSP contracts to reflect monthly commercial, scope and project-driven service introductions to IT Operations, and correspondingly, reflect system and applications decommissioned.

  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

The essentials

  • 7 or more years’ experience with IT life-cycle processes (IT Service Managment, Software Development Life Cycle, etc.)

  • Experience in performance management, data analytics, KPI’s and SLA’s

  • Experience with contract management

  • Experience with financial reporting

The preferred

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

  • ITILv3 or v4 Certified

  • PMP Certified

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence tools

  • This position’s work mode is *hybrid. * The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
