Reyes Holdings Corporate Human Resources Generalist in Rosemont, Illinois

Position Summary:

The Corporate Human Resources Generalist provides HR functional support in partnership with the Reyes Holdings HR Team to support the execution key HR processes and initiatives and to meet the HR and business needs of key Reyes Holdings stakeholders. This role will work collaboratively to provide human resource support regarding a broad range of human resource activities, including talent management, people data, employee engagement, talent acquisition, onboarding, and other special projects as needed.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Manage pre-hire process, orientation, onboarding, and off-boarding for employees.

  • Address general HR questions and resolve issues for employees and managers, escalating where appropriate.

  • Support the administration of talent initiatives and processes, including goal setting, performance management, and talent management. Support tasks include data compilation, manager education, communications and tracking of status completion.

  • Help to drive engagement activities, including compiling and distributing engagement survey results.

  • Process workflows in HR systems as needed (new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions).

  • Review payroll weekly for all Reyes Holdings employees and partner with Payroll to resolve any issues in a timely manner to ensure correct pay.

  • Coordinate education assistance program.

  • Lead Reyes Holdings intern program, including referral placements, coordination of recruiting where necessary, manager communications and training, planning and conducting intern orientation and events, and gathering feedback from interns and managers on any potential improvements.

  • Serve as main point of contact for Rosemont badging process – train other local HR on system and process, audit for terminations, partner with other Corporate functions to drive improvements (Physical Security, Internal Audit), and provide other ad hoc support.

  • Ensure HR compliance for employee files, I-9s, postings, and PRM/Outreach.

  • Provide basic support/gain exposure to more complex areas of HR: job description review and evaluation, performance management, employee relations, annual merit process, and others as needed.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, 3 plus years of Human Resources experience or HS Diploma/GED and 6 plus years of Human Resources experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of an organization

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree

  • PHR or SPHR Certification

  • SHRM Certification

  • People leadership experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

  • SAP experience

  • Union experience including Collective Bargaining, etc.

  • Experience working for a company with transportation i.e., DOT, JJ Keller, etc.

  • Experience working in a food and/or beverage company
