Lisa Cole with Robert Half is seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to fill the role of Assistant Controller in a dynamic organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the production of accurate financial reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

• Assist in overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure to achieve department goals.

• Supervise, train, and develop members of the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Review supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts.

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including a thorough review of accounting entries.

• Ensure timely completion of period-end close processes.

• Respond to financial reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for reporting purposes.

• Coordinate and oversee the annual audit conducted by external auditors.

• Stay current on changes in regulations and ensure the company's adherence to them.

• Manage outsourced functions, as needed.

• Proactively resolve issues and concerns as they arise.

  Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration

• CPA required

• 5+ years of progressive, relevant experience.

• Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting systems.

• Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations.
