Job Description

As an Associate Wafer Sort Test Engineer specialized in the semiconductor industry, your role is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing semiconductor testing processes to meet the stringent requirements of this rapidly evolving and highly competitive sector. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of semiconductor testing equipment processes and ensure the quality of material shipped out of the Roseville facility.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for test program management in series production and interfacing with operators on the shop floor to ensure smooth operation of testing equipment

  • Perform optimization of test programs through introduction of minor changes according to specification and coordination with test experts

  • Validation and release of test program and test system according to release procedure

  • OEE optimization through analysis of downtime reasons of the test equipment and instruction of service to equipment engineering and technician staff

  • Serve as the main contact to the test equipment supplier and cooperation with supplier in case of complex issues

  • Participate in interdepartmental and interdisciplinary teams and focus groups to respond to on-going engineering and manufacturing topics

  • Actively participate and focus on continuous improvement of testing sequence and methods to improve yields, equipment availability to reduce costs, and improve quality

  • Preparation and maintenance of workplace work instructions and execution of on-the-job training for manufacturing staff

  • Travel (including internationally) as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Material Engineering, or Physics or the equivalent in education.

  • 1+ years of work experience in Semiconductor Process Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with industry-specific standards, including ISO, SEMI, and ESD.

  • Strong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers to operators.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

Additional Information

  • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.

  • This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.

  • Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $66,000 - $80,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
