Defense Health Agency Supervisory Program Manager (DEPUTY PEO) in Rosslyn, Virginia

Summary About the Position: This position is located in Rosslyn, VA. This is not a remote position. This position is designated a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) with further designation as a Key Leadership Position (KLP). This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Responsibilities Serve as the Deputy Program Executive Officer and principle senior acquisition advisor to the Program Executive Officer, a career Tier I Senior Executive Service position. Direct, develop, approve, and oversee Information Technology (IT) system acquisition strategies, goals, documentation, processes, and procedures to fulfill the requirements of the Program Management Offices based on current legislation and policies. Exercise expert judgment in the management and control of several multi-billion dollar acquisition programs. Oversee contracting activities and continually evaluates the effectiveness of utilization of resources across the portfolio. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Program Manager (Deputy PEO), NH-0340-04: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning tasks required for organizational projects; And developing strategic plans regarding Information Technology (IT) system acquisition; And evaluating the effectiveness of acquisition programs; And organizing personnel activities to meet organizational goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03) *Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Active Career Field. DOD Position Certification Level and Training Requirements. All Acquisition Workforce Positions Mandated in Title 10, USC, Section 1723. DoD 5000.52-M, DOD Acquisition Career Development Program contains specific requirements for acquisition categories and grade/level. The employee must meet the DODI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data filed in the header of the PD/PRD. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
