About Customer Solutions:

Digital Products Engineering (DPE) Commerce enables commerce between General Motors, GM Dealers, and consumers. From online vehicle shopping to service scheduling to buying parts, accessories and digital experiences, DPE Commerce focuses on every phase of commerce. Loyalty is part of DPE Commerce area. We build front-end applications, individual services and platforms-as-a-service, ensuring the best reuse across multiple lines of business (LOBs). We use agile methodologies to validate hypotheses and GM's proven 5-star approach to optimize performance, security, and total cost of ownership.

This position is with the Loyalty tech team helping build GM's Loyalty platform with world class earn/redeem experiences to increase advocacy and engagement of our customers. This critical hands-on role will concentrate on the overall integration design and development for the range of products under the GM Loyalty umbrella.

The Staff MuleSoft System Integration Lead software engineer is responsible for participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation of real time APIs and batch jobs, integrating with Salesforce, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed. He / She will work with other IT staff members to ensure the highest degree of functionality and reliability of our infrastructure. This position requires an individual who is hands-on with MuleSoft, detail-oriented, adept in MuleSoft design patterns and approaches to implement business logic to integrate with Salesforce, able to adapt under stressful conditions, can multitask, possesses solid technical communication and customer service skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and validate integration requirements.

  • Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MuleSoft and Salesforce integrations.

  • Create High-level and Low-level Design Documents meeting client requirements, standards and best practices.

  • Provide technical leadership to the team for development and integration

  • Develop, install, configure and deploy APIs on MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0 platform and integrate with Salesforce.

  • Develop Business Process Orchestrations.

  • Develop batch processes using MuleSoft and integrate with Salesforce.

  • Write automated unit test cases providing acceptable code coverage.

  • Co-ordination of implementation with various teams to create development plans, support delivery and test of scalable, reusable, supportable and repeatable architectural and design patterns.

  • Perform and provide support for deployment and post go-live.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, Onshore and Offshore

  • Assist in configuring our MuleSoft environment, including containerization design.

  • Architectural solutions/designs to development, testing, deployment and support.

  • You define the structure of the system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation.

  • Responsible for the management and mitigation of technical risks, ensuring that the solution services can be realistically delivered by the underlying technology components.

  • Conduct in-depth specific code reviews to optimize resource utilization and capabilities, delivered by the vendors that we work with.

  • Understand and clarify complex business integration requirements and create scalable/manageable designs.

  • Lead small development teams (including vendor resources) in multi-phase, heterogonous work environments, with multiple work streams.

  • Develop integrations against Salesforce, Azure API Management and other technologies.

  • Test, deploy, support and maintain integration platforms.

  • Actively document implementations, so others can easily understand.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including working with vendors.

  • 10+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience gained on company or client projects.

  • Must have worked with MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, and have full-stack experience in configuring MuleSoft 4.x on cloud (AWS, Azure), architecting, designing, developing, testing and deploying Mule 4.x.

  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience developing APIs and batch jobs on MuleSoft platform and integrating with Salesforce.

  • Strong command of object-oriented design principles and prevailing design patterns.

  • Strong knowledge of REST architectural style and web standards (i.e. JSON, CORS, etc.)

  • Experience with other programming languages Java, .Net, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, other integration technologies etc. is a plus.

  • Good to have familiarity with other Integration platforms such as Azure API Management

  • Experience designing and developing RESTful and SOAP services.

  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide solutions.

  • Working experience with Enterprise Integration patterns and design patterns.

  • Working knowledge of application security technologies, i.e. OAuth2, SSO, SAML, etc.

  • Experience in working with MuleSoft Connectors (e.g. Salesforce, Apache Kafka) and building custom integrations for Salesforce, batch, enterprise applications, databases, on-premise custom systems and/or other cloud SaaS solutions.

  • DevSecOps, CI/CD, Agile, TDD and/or BDD, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), unit testing and mocking frameworks.

Additional Job Description

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the local Innovation Center three times per week, at minimum.

  • Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $181,600- $285,300. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
