Description

We are working with a private family-owned company to source a motivated Accounting Clerk to join their organization. This position will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a Full Charge Bookkeeping role.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Verify invoice approvals and coding.

• Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers.

• Maintain vendor records and reconcile vendor statements.

Accounts Receivable:

• Generate customer invoices and statements.

• Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of receivables.

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

• Prepare and process deposits.

Bank Reconciliations:

• Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

• Record bank transactions accurately in the accounting system.

General Accounting Support:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.

• Provide support for audits and tax preparation.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Previous experience in accounting or related field preferred.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks highly preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
