Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Business Management Analyst / Principal Business Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Roy, UT. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Set up cost control system and monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.

  • Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and perform and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis

  • Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines

  • Prepare program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.

  • Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding.

  • Conduct cost analysis to develop EACs, generate financial inputs, and support monthly cost and schedule reviews.

  • Assist CAMs with EVMS activities including: WBS alignment, time phasing of tasks, developing and documenting earned value methodologies, monthly performance measurement, estimate to complete analysis and updates, and variance analysis research and reporting.

  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

  • Perform miscellaneous financial analysis as required.

  • Continually assess and improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies and participate in month-end financial reporting close activities.

  • Identify pressures and opportunities, and develop recovery plans as required

  • Travel will be required 10%.

Basic Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either a Business Management Analyst level or Principal Business Management Analyst level

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling; a Master's degree with 1 years of experience; or an additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree. (Principal level requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience)

  • Experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek, CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, MS Project/Oracle Primavera, or Schedule software tools

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance (with the investigation in the past 6 years). US citizenship is a prerequisite

  • 3+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical ability

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400

Salary Range 2: $76,600 - $115,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
