What You'll Do
A Software Asset Management Analyst that will assist the ITAM team to develop and maintain Entitlement Baselines (EB) and Effective License Positions (ELP) for software contracts at Cisco. The use of EB's and ELP's will enable Cisco to stay in compliance with the contract and provide data insights needed for contract renewals and negotiations.
Contract and Publisher Management
Create & manage new/existing publishers in Flexera One
Create & manage new/existing contracts (amendments)
Stay ahead of all Tier 1 & 2 contract changes, license terms/ managing and controlling risk
License Compliance Management
Proficient in sophisticated licensing models for client (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SalesForce, and many others)
Track and detail all software licenses and ensure compliance with vendor agreements
Supervise license usage and identify over-licensed or under-licensed areas
Stay informed about industry trends, standard methodologies, and new technologies in software license management
Implement continuous improvements to the software license management processes
Collaborate with the procurement team to acquire vital software licenses
Review and incorporate license changes
Update entitlements based on renewals and additional license purchases
Review and correct unassigned evidence
Entitlement and License Position Management
Reconcile software entitlements to software deployments
Identify potential risks and optimization opportunities, and work with partners for remediation
Identifying under- consumed licenses
Support GPS during renewals
Drive ownership across products and publishers
Connect with internal partners to ensure understanding and compliance with software asset management policies
Reports/Dashboards
Publisher specific compliance reports/dashboards for partners
Data Quality analysis and maintain reports/dashboards
Build/maintain software renewal tracker
Who You'll Work With
The SAM Data and Platforms team integrates platforms and automates data collection into the Flexera One SaaS platform to develop Effective License Positions to help Cisco run their software consumption, utilization and spend.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with software asset management lifecycle and licensing
Experience in developing software entitlement baseline and license positions with consumption reporting, process & tools.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 3 years of customer facing or operational experience
Preferred Qualifications
Industry process knowledge (Agile, ITIL, Process mapping)
Direct experience in Software Asset Management
Experience with creating and delivering Effective License Positions
Proven expertise and comprehensive understanding of software licensing for major vendors.
Sophisticated skills in using asset management systems (such as Flexera and ServiceNow) and proficiency in various reporting tools are essential.
