Starting wages range from $26 to $29 an hour!

The Rushville production location runs various production schedules during peak season, September through March each year. This includes but is not limited to the following:

Running one to three 8-10-hour shifts (5-6 days per week, with 1-2 days off) rotating shifts with premium shift bonus.

During off-peak months, April through August, the site staggers down to an 8- hour day shift schedule with occasional overtime when needed. This provides a much better work-life balance than other manufacturing roles and opportunities!

What You'll Do:

  • Model Safety as the number one focus.

  • Support Plant Operations.

  • Deliver maintenance support for Capital projects.

  • Maintain Condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools.

  • Support Process Safety Management and location safety efforts.

  • Conduct seasonal prep work including Annual Preventative Maintenance, Repairs, and Improvements.

  • Assure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities.

  • Complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.

  • Utilize Predictive Maintenance tools to detect and remedy future machine failures.

  • Create, continually update, and train Preventative Maintenance plans for varied equipment.

  • Complete fabrication projects to improve plant processes.

  • Maintain detailed equipment records and prints.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • You have a High School Diploma/GED or higher.

  • You have 2-3+ years of industrial maintenance work experience or other related experience.

  • You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • When you see a problem, you look at as an opportunity to find and implement a solution.

  • You enjoy working with people and have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • You have beginning level computer skills or higher.

  • You understand that the site's viability in reliably delivering to customers equals job security, so you are able to be on call when needed to support plant operations. You are also willing and able to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks as well as shift work to meet business goals to serve our customers.

  • You are willing and able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse).

  • climb and/or work in elevated areas.

  • stand and sit for extended periods.

  • work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions.

  • lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery.

  • Basic level of building electrical systems knowledge.

  • Knowledge of heating/cooling, refrigeration, security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electrical systems.

  • Able to adjust quickly to changing conditions and multiple priorities.

  • You are detail oriented.

  • Millwright skills, especially relevant to the seed industry.

  • Welding skills.

  • Truck and forklift driving skills.

  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic repair and test equipment.

  • Basic process control understanding.

This positions is required to work in office 5 days a week.
