YARD PERSONNEL - ETHANOL
REPORTS TO: Yard Supervisor and Shift Supervisor
- Indirectly: Plant Manager and Operations Manager
ROTATING SHIFT: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None
PRIMARY JOB OBJECTIVE:
Load, unload and move incoming and outgoing materials to ensure continuous production within the parameters set by Purefield Ingredients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Daily Tasks 7 am 7 pm shift
- Assist Yard Supervisor in scale house using computer to weigh inbound and outbound trucks
- Use scale house equipment to monitor and test incoming grain shipments for moisture, protein and aflatoxin content
- Determine if shipments are accepted or rejected by comparing results of testing to minimum standards
- Load trucks with wetcake and DDGS with front end loader, skytrak and bobcat
- Assist ethanol plant Operators as time permits
- Complete daily yard checklist
- Additional duties as assigned
Daily Tasks 7 pm 7 am shift
- Record bill of lading information for outgoing products
- Load railcars with ethanol following procedures for inspection and loading, record railcar information on loading report
- Sweep up receiving pit, (floor, grates and drive) with broom and air hose
- Load trucks with wetcake and DDGS with front end loader and bobcat,
- Clean DDGS building with broom and air hose
- Refuel and check fluids in front end loader and trackmobile, skytrakl and bobcat
- Clean scale house with broom and mop (Sunday night)
- Move railroad cars with trackmobile
- Clean off C-111 magnet
- Dump overage bin
- Assist ethanol plant Operators as time permits
- Complete daily yard checklist
- Complete daily production and inventories report
- Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform the functions of the position
- Basic computer skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, climb, and walk. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Hardhat and protective eyewear required within and around USEP processing facilities. Hearing protection required in areas where levels exceed 85 db. Unifo m provided by Purefield Ingredients. Leather boots mandatory. Additional PPE required when handling hazardous chemicals.
