Amanda Howell is seeking an Accounting Manager for an amazing company based in Rutherford, California, United States. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing various accounting functions within our organization. The role requires proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, and US GAAP, among other skills.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the timely completion of month-end close.

• Managing and preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.

• Providing leadership and management support to staff, facilitating the development and execution of all events/activities.

• Issuing financial statements to management along with supporting narrative.

• Reviewing and preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Conducting reviews of all accounts payable and receivable batches for proper expense coding, documentation approvals, and billing.

• Analyzing and reviewing general ledgers for unusual items or incorrect postings.

• Reviewing inventory costing for accuracy, unusual variances, and reporting notable trends to management.

• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets, including farming activity budgets.

• Assisting in tax related tasks such as consolidating forecasts for taxable income analysis, coordinating tax distributions, dividend payments, and shareholder distributions.

• Supporting the annual financial statement audit and tax return preparation.

• Collaborating with Controller, CFO, and other business partners to ensure timely and accurate financial data and analysis is provided to support key business decisions.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Knowledge and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

• Must have a solid understanding of accounting functions and be able to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Billing Functions is necessary.

• Familiarity with US GAAP is a requisite.

• Must have experience maintaining the General Ledger and making Journal Entries.

• Ability to prepare and review Financial Statements.

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is required.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Bank Account Reconciliation is necessary.

• Must have experience working with Balance Sheets and Income Statements.

• Knowledge of Inventory Accounting is a plus.

• Experience with the Annual Income Tax Provision is required.

• The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently is necessary.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

• Must have a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
