Clinical supervisor oversees the treatment work implemented by the clinicians in the program. Oversees the clinician’s therapy work in assessment, treatment planning and service delivery, documentation and accountability. Also holds clinical responsibility for the clinical aspects of the treatment milieu.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Allocate sufficient time and resources to successfully orient new employees.

• Ascertains that relevant information is reported to program manager and/or the team in a timely manner.

• Assures it is the norm of the supervisory sessions that the majority of the time is spent on client care in the supervision process.

• Be a role model in the use of the 5 basic principles.

• Collaborates flexibly and responsively with the area service network on behalf of clients to support smooth access to the program, coordinated service responses and client linkage with needed community resources and promote integration of care.

• Completes and reviews administrative and clinical documentation with focus on accuracy, completeness, relevancy and overall quality and timeliness.

• Coordinates recruitment and hiring of direct service staff with the Clinical Director (or designee) and human resources department.

• Demonstrates at all times the commitment to providing the least intrusive service intervention that supports the clients’ needs/preferences in the least restrictive setting that supports client and staff safety.

• Coach direct care staff and correct performance issues prior to engaging in the formal disciplinary process.

• Demonstrates skill in facilitation in accordance with Sweetser’s meeting guidelines.

• Demonstrates skill in training and supporting staff in, the role of the care coordinator and level of care.

• Develop and maintain staff scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels.

• Effectively and consistently addresses barriers to achieving success in productivity, documentation and clinical effectiveness by the ability to have difficult conversations with their supervisees.

EDUCATION:

• Master's degree in professional clinical discipline.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Hold independent licensure - LCSW, LCPC

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE:

• Preferred clinical experience in the program will supervise.

• Preferred supervisory experience.

• Strong knowledge base in systems/family therapy.

• Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment interventions, and documentation.

• Excellent computer skills and navigation of the electronic records system.

• Experience with KEPRO funding preferred
