The primary purpose of this role is to partner with the assigned Divisional leadership team in delivering against the business growth objectives by providing insight, coaching, and change management support. The Director, HR Business Partner accomplishes results by identifying and engaging internal and external resources along with the use of data, analytics, and strong business and organizational acumen to maximize decision effectiveness.

The position can be located anywhere on the West coast

Essential Functions:

  • Gain deep knowledge of the unique talent challenges within assigned Division and partner with leaders to address them, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and the strategic vision of the organization.

  • Conduct data analysis and employ insight about the business, LCG culture, and external trends to identify appropriate talent interventions and programs; present in a compelling way that influences leaders to take action on recommendations.

  • Utilize change management principles to help ensure clear communication, understanding and adoption of new programs and practices.

  • Coach senior leaders to improve leadership and team effectiveness; provide advice and counsel to leaders on performance management, career development, and talent management with an eye on key diversity metrics.

  • Provide direct guidance and leadership to the Manager, HR Business Partner for assigned Division, and dotted line responsibility for ER Manager of assigned Region/Division. Develop and coach ER Manager with the goal of preparing them for future advancement within the Field HR team.

  • Engage appropriate centers of excellence (COE) partners to help guide decisions and actions related to various talent needs such as organizational design, workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to help manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and investigations relating to senior leaders; partner with Employee Relations team and Legal as needed to ensure appropriate interpretation and compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Utilize case management systems (i.e. ServiceNow and EthicsPoint) to track and report on employee relations cases/activities.

  • Attend Division/Region/District leadership meetings, presenting on various topics impacting client group to keep them informed of LCG initiatives or trends.

  • Participate in or lead special projects for both the HR department and client level.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has management responsibilities with 1 or more direct reports.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

  • Minimum of 10+ years HR Business Partner, HR generalist or HR functional experience in progressively responsible roles.

  • Prior supervisory experience in an HR functional capacity is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Federal labor and employment laws, and state-specific laws with regard to leaves of absence, overtime, and safety.

  • Must have experience with California employment and labor laws.

  • Skilled in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and using data to drive decision-making.

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.

  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficient time management and organizational skills, and ability to meet established deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including total rewards, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, talent acquisition and management, and application of federal and state employment laws.

  • Strong business acumen with a keen aptitude to quickly assimilate new information relating to the drivers to company performance, the industry, and the marketplace.

  • Proven ability to effectively adapt style and interact with all organizational levels in a multicultural environment and build strong, trusted relationships.

  • Excellent consulting and coaching skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly interpret data, identify trends, and recommend multiple solutions.

  • Ability to manage projects and to collaborate in diverse teams to foster productive outcomes.

  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality and discretion at all times.

  • Working proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.

  • Travel as needed, expected 15%, may include overnight travel.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation ($148-$155k + Annual Bonus Potential) based on Location, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options

  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and FSA) provided for full-time employees, Limited medical offered for part-time workers

  • All employees in Colorado are eligible for paid sick leave, as required by the Healthy Families Work Act. Full-time employees are provided with 48 hours upon hire and annually each fiscal year thereafter. Part-time and temporary employees earn paid sick leave based upon hours worked.
