Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Patient Registration role in the Healthcare/NHS industry. Situated in Sacramento, California, this role involves managing patient registrations and their medical records in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient check-ins and schedule appointments in an efficient manner

• Answer billing inquiries and address any concerns related to patient medical records

• Register and pre-register patients while verifying all patient demographics

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations for patients

• Explain hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and patient rights clearly to all patients

• Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients

• Maintain a high standard of customer service for all patients and their families

• Use computer skills to maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks

• Work effectively with a range of payers including HMO, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid. Requirements • Candidate must have a strong background in Patient Registration and Patient Access systems within the Healthcare/NHS industry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient interaction.

• Should possess good organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment scheduling efficiently.

• Proficiency in using healthcare software and databases is required.

• Familiarity with medical terminologies and procedures will be advantageous.

• The ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially is a must.

• Should have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to resolve patient registration issues promptly and efficiently.

• A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate recording and processing of patient information.

• Should be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and service.

• Candidates should have a proven track record of adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.

• Flexibility to work in shifts if needed is desirable.

• A background in customer service within the healthcare sector will be beneficial.

• Proficiency in multiple languages could be advantageous for communicating with diverse patient populations.
