Responsibilities:

• May provide supervisory support and assistance to Management, as applicable.

• Provides evaluation and device management to patients under the supervision of a physician

• Educates patients and families regarding device function, clinic follow-up scheduling and device home monitoring.

• Ensures correct billing and coding of device checks.

• Identifies opportunities for enhanced workflow in the clinics in collaboration with management.

• Assists with wound checks following implants.

• Assists the physician and other health care professionals in related technical areas as needed

• Functions without supervision and, may coordinate others, as applicable.

Required Education:

• HS Diploma or GED

Required Licensure and Experience (1 of the following):

• Cardiology Arrhythmia Certification and 3 years of healthcare or 1 year of Cardiology or

• Cardiology Arrhythmia Certification and graduation from an approved technical school specializing in implanted devices and/or arrhythmia or

• RN license and 5 years of implanted cardiac device experience

Preferred Experience:

• Working with programmers from major device companies and utilizing remote monitoring sites from major device companies

Preferred Certifications:

• CRAT Certification (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician)

• RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)

• CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist)

• CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
