The Application Analyst is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the software and functionality. Primary role is to design, build, and test applications. This individual must be knowledgeable about departmental policies, procedures, business operations and specific workflows.  On an as needed basis, perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of Vendor software.  The individual will be responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Vendor applications. On an ongoing basis, the Application Analyst will review new Vendor software releases and updates to help determine which features would best fit Covenant Healthcare's needs.  The Application Analyst will work closely with the other Application Analysts to ensure a successful implementation / maintenance of the Vendor Software at Covenant Healthcare. The Application Analyst may be expected to rotate call with other team members to provide 24x7 emergency support for the department. The Application Analyst may be expected to provide remote support if necessary. Effective oral and written communication skills a must, will develop and maintain procedures and other system documentation as required. Demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

Responsibilities:

Primary role is to design, build, and test applications. Provides advanced support for applications responsible for maintaining. Appropriately represents Covenant HealthCare by promoting a positive image to the project team, departments, medical staff, leadership and outside constituents. Listens and responds to questions/concerns of co-workers and other members of the organization. Keeps an objective focus in all interactions. Works with outside vendor and other representatives to assure systems function effectively and to resolve issues. Interacts effectively with Information Technology team regarding equipment problems, application processing problems, requests for enhancements, and testing updates. Works with staff in analyzing workflows and process to assure optimal use of Vendor software. Develops protocols and procedures and updates them as appropriate in relationship to the system. Utilizes appropriate methodologies for communication, issue tracking system, and project documentation. Examples of appropriate tools include Microsoft Office, Footprints, and Wrike. Examples of appropriate forums include professional letters, conference calls, presentations, huddles, team and committee meetings. Understands regulatory requirements in relationship to the system. Coordinates software updates/changes with end users and other team members. Thoroughly reviews and tests each new release and communicate needed changes to the Vendor before users are permitted to access the new release. Assist in evaluating replacement and new hardware needs for the IT Department. Develops/assists with training through the development of training tools and training of key staff. Reviews and validates System Update and New Release software utilizing approved CHS Change Management processes. Abides by change control procedures. Troubleshoots problems or questions from end users. Prioritizes issues and personal workload effectively. Effectively answers questions and/or concerns regarding the system in a positive fashion. Works effectively as both a team member and one on one. Works independently, seeks guidance as necessary. Understands the importance of
