POSITION PURPOSE

This position assists with daily operation of the Specialty Services area which includes but is not limited to IRA, HSA, ESA, trust and other custodial accounts and representative payee accounts.   Provides support for processing and maintaining specialized accounts and performing related accounting, clerical, and member service functions. Responds to staff and members' questions and service requests for such accounts, and keeps members informed of the status of their IRA/HSA/ESA and sends required notices and letters.  Assists with preparation, review and, if necessary, correction of required government forms and documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:  High school graduate required.                                          

Required Knowledge *: * Knowledge of IRA laws strongly desired.  Working knowledge of the posting system and related computer applications.

*Experience Required: * Three to five years of similar or related financial institution experience.  Previous IRA experience strongly desired.  Previous Credit Union experience desired.  Typing or keyboarding experience required.

*Skills/Abilities: * Good typing skills.  Ability to understand and interpret technical material.  Attentive to detail and accurate.  Good analytical and reasoning skills.  Well organized and able to work independently.  Cooperative and willing to assist others.  Able to use computer applications, adding machine, and telephone.  Excellent telephone, communication, and public relations skills.
