Job Title: Water Resources Engineer

Job Description

We seek a Water Resources Engineer to join our team and contribute to the planning and design of various projects. You will analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to develop comprehensive reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and tests. You will prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for diverse projects. Your role will involve stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling, and environmental permitting for infrastructure such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation systems, pipelines, and power plants. Occasional site visits will be necessary to inspect construction sites, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards. Additionally, you will utilize hydraulics and hydrology modeling software to analyze and evaluate the impacts of project improvements, design, analyze, and review grading plans, tributary areas, flow calculations, detention pond sizing, release rates, storm sewer and culvert capacities, and other civil site design elements.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Charles, Illinois.

Work Environment

This position is open as we continue to win projects and need additional support. This is a 100% in-office position, requiring presence all five days and reporting to the Division Leader. The individual will directly supervise 1-3 employees in the Civil/Environmental Division and collaborate with other project managers and Sr PMs. Projects will often focus on outside-the-fence scope or utility work, including water main, sanitary, storm sewer design, grading plans, and roadway MFT design work, with occasional construction inspection. Expect to handle 2-5 projects simultaneously. The role offers endless growth opportunities, potentially leading to a position on the leadership team or a Sr PM role.
